In 2013 Australian New York City resident Yael Stone portrayed inmate "Lorna" Morello In the film Orange Is the New Black. Yael graduated from NIDA. Yael was fortunate to have the opportunity to work with Australia's leading storytellers. Her experience includes behind-the-scenes work in television, film and theatre. Yael has a successful career in Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael's new life in New York City began when her production was critically acclaimed at Brooklyn Academy of Music. Yael was the co-founder of The Cannery. The Cannery is located within Bushwick Brooklyn and works in the city to promote creative writing, innovative ideas and new work.
